Resourceful women and desperate stratagems is Christina Peek’s most ambitious exhibition to date. The work explores facets of female agency in selected fairy tales from Angela Carter's Book of Fairy Tales, juxtaposed with her contemporary lived experiences of social connection. Peek uses tales from Carter's anthology as narratives of empowered female sexuality, interpersonal expression, and resilience. This is explored through sculptural work and installations in the Gallery.
